Royal Shawn Nielsen, president, Rapid City. The first president of the merged SD State USBC Association, Nielsen has a background of service to bowling on the local and state levels. During his 20 years on the SD Bowling Association board, he served as president and director. He is president of the Rapid City USBC Association after terms as president and director of the Rapid City BA. He chaired the Rapid City USBC Transition Board and was a member of the SD USBC Transition Board. An active bowler for more than 30 years, Nielsen is an inductee into the Rapid City Hall of Fame and SD State USBC Hall of Fame and the recipient of Rapid City’s Ben Gerry Sportsmanship Award.

Sally Oller, association manager, Rapid City. Sally has been bowling for 53 years (51 in Rapid City) serving as secretary/treasurer for many years and is currently on the board of directors. She was a member of the Rapid City USBC transition board and has bowled in 21 WIBC national tournaments and attended four national meetings. She is an inductee into the Rapid City Hall of Fame and SD State USBC Hall of Fame.

Marty Barington, 1st vice president, Mitchell. During his 16 years of bowling, Marty was a member of the Mitchell youth board for 12 years and has held all league offices. His seven years on the SD Bowling Association board included terms as president, vice president and director. He was a member of the SD USBC Transition Board.

Carol Rettkowski-Gregg, 2nd vice president, Brookings. Active in bowling for more than 30 years, Carol served as president of the Brookings Association and was instrumental in its transition to the Brookings USBC Association. She also was District 2 director with the SD Women’s Bowling Association.  Carol is a member of the Brookings Hall of Fame.

William Ficken, District 1 director, Rapid City. A member of the Rapid City Bowling Association and USBC for 34 years, William serves on the Rapid City Board of Directors with Hall of Fame and youth roles.

Steve Shutt, District 1 director, Spearfish. Steve’s bowling career spans 43 years, 38 with the Yankton Bowling Association and five with the Northern Hills Association. He is past president of the Yankton BA.

Chris Henrichsen, District 2 director, Pierre.  Chris has been bowling for 30 years and is coach of the Pierre Traveling Team.  He is youth representative on the Pierre USBC board

Scott Stabnow, District 2 director, Pierre. Scott has been a member of the Pierre Bowling Association for more than 30 years. He served 11 years with the Pierre youth program, including five years as a coach. He was a member of the Pierre BA board for 10 years. Scott is an inductee into the Pierre Hall of Fame.

Charles Turner, District 3 director, Yankton. Chuck’s 42-year bowling career includes his current role as president of the Yankton USBC Association.  He is an inductee into the SD State USBC Hall of Fame.

William Kluckman, District 3 director, Sioux Falls. William is president of the Sioux Falls USBC Regional Association after serving a term as director.  He has been bowling for 38 years and was a vice president and assistant treasurer in two leagues. He was a delegate to the American Bowling Congress national convention for four years

Gayle Bussell, District 4 director, Huron. Gayle’s 40-year bowling career includes serving as president of the Huron Women’s Bowling Association and treasurer of the SD Women’s Association for six years. She was a member of the SD USBC Transition Board. She has attended 20 national tournaments.

Dave Harles, District 4 director, Huron. During his 40-year bowling career, Dave served 23 years as secretary/treasurer of the Huron Bowling Association and is manager of the Huron USBC. He is past president and director of the SD Bowling Association and was a member of the SD Bowling Council, serving two terms as president.  He is an inductee into the Huron Life Member Hall of Fame and SD State USBC Hall of Fame.

Randy Svendsen, director at large, Volin. During his 45-year bowling career, Randy has served on various Yankton Bowling Association offices. He was vice president and director of the SD Bowling Association during nine years on the board. He was a member of the SD USBC Transition Board.  He is an inductee into the SD State USBC Hall of Fame.

Dennis Tomhave, director at large, Vermillion.  During his 49-year bowling career, Dennis has served on verious Vermillion Bowling Association offices.  He was secretary/treasurer for 15 years and has been the association manager since it merged under the USBC.  He was secretary/treasurer for up to four leagues over the past 28  years.  He is an inductee into the SD state USBC Hall of Fame.

George Martin, youth committee, Brandon. George has been bowling for more than 35 years and was involved with local and state associations as a director and officer for more than 20 years. He served as president of the SD Young American Bowling Alliance as well as the SD Bowling Council. He has been a youth coach for more than 30 years and was a member of Bowling Headquarters field staff for nine years.  He is a SD State USBC Hall of Fame inductee and received the SD Youth Service award for Coach of the Year and Promoter of the Year.

Teresa Norby, youth committee, Brookings. Teresa has been bowling for more than 35 years and was a member of the Brookings youth program for eight years and SD Young American Bowling Alliance for four years. She was a member of the Brookings Transition Board and is a youth committee representative for the Brookings USBC. She is an inductee into the SD State USBC Hall of Fame.

Dale Brownell, youth committee, Spearfish. A bowling proprietor for 25 years, Dale assisted in the formation of the Spearfish youth organization and remains active in it. He was the SD Bowling Proprietor’s representative to the SD Bowling Council and SD Young American Bowling Alliance. He is youth director for Northern Hills USBC. He is president of the SD Bowling Proprietors Association. He is an inductee into the SD State USBC Hall of Fame.

Patty Fanter, youth chairperson, Rapid City. Patty has coached youth bowlers for more than 15 of her 20 years of bowling in South Dakota and North Dakota. She has served with the Rapid City and SD youth organizations and is a certified Level 1 and Bronze-level coach and member of the National Coach’s Association. She was a member of the Rapid City USBC Transition Board and SD USBC Transition Board.  She is manager for the SD State USBC Youth Tournament.  Patty is an inductee into the Rapid City Hall of Fame and received the SD Youth Service award for Coach of the Year.
